New flour mill to expand milling capacity close to home

NIPPN Corp., which operates one of Japan's largest flour milling businesses, announced hat it is entering the U.S. milling market for the first time with a $25 million investment in Utah Flour Milling, LLC.  Utah Flour Milling was established earlier this year by PHM Brands (formerly Panhandle Milling).  Construction on the mill will begin this summer and is expected to be completed by autumn 2024.  The facility's flour production capacity will be 7,500 cwts.  PHM currently has overall daily milling capacity of 7,500 cwts divided between mills in Farmington, New Mexico and Dawn, Texas.  The Utah mill will double PHM's milling capacity.
