Russian wheat exports in the period from March 10 to March 30 reached 1 million mt, showing a slow but steady pace on a week-by-week basis, Agricensus analysis of shipping line-up data has shown. The line up data fills a gap left by official data releases, after Russia's agriculture ministry suspended the publication of official export data back on March 10. On top of that, the government cited an export ban on grains to the Eurasian Economic Union as the reason for the suspension."Export from Russia has been suspended by government decree and therefore it is not posted on our website," the ministry said in response to an Agricensus enquiry. The Russian government announced the export ban on grains moving to the EEU from March 15 with the block set to run through to June 30 and covering wheat, rye, meslin (wheat and rye mixed), barley and corn.
