Idaho Wheat commissioner appointed to Lewiston's port commission

Joseph “Genesee Joe” Anderson of Lewiston, was selected in a vote by Lewiston Port commissioners Mike Thomason and Jerry Klemm to serve as a commissioner for the Lewiston Port.  Anderson will represent the port on the City of Lewiston's Urban Renewal Agency.
Anderson's decision to join the port commission follows decades of farming. He raises wheat and canola with his brother on a farm in the Genesee area that has been in his family since 1902 when his great grandfather settled there.
The Port of Lewiston welcomed Joseph Anderson as the new District 2 Port Commissioner, at the January 10 Special Port Commission Meeting. Joe will serve as an appointed Port Commissioner until December 31, 2022.  Joe’s appointment fills a seat previously held by Mary Hasenoehrl.
